ESOL training – everyone welcome!

ESOL training with English for Action:
critical pedagogy and participatory education applied to teaching English to migrants and refugees

Date&time: 18/09 4.40-7pm
Location: Common House, Unit 5E Pundersons Gardens, Bethnal Green E2 9QG

Main topics we will cover:
– Initial and diagnostic assessment in a participatory style
– How to make group discussion work in the context of lower level or mixed level groups
– Course planning: Throwing the scheme of work out the window (or at least having one that is constantly subject to change) and teaching in an emerging way
To help us cover the cost of the training, we are asking participants to give a donation if they can – ideally £5 for Babel’s Blessing members and £10 for external participants. But if you’re interested and can’t afford it please come along anyway!
