Join us in a voluntary trustee role!

Babel’s Blessing is supported by a pair of wonderful volunteer Trustees who help Project Coordinators and Teachers to run the organisation. Trustees are volunteers who provide support and guidance to charitable organisations. Unlike a charity, as a Community Interest Company we are not legally required to have trustees, but we believe they play an essential role in supporting our work.

We want to recruit more trustees and would especially appreciate people with the following experience: Fundraising, Accounting, Human resource management (HR), Communication and Digital Strategy, Marketing, Facilitating and Supporting Horizontal Organising and Participatory/Critical Pedagogy. We are particularly keen to hear from people with lived experience of migration and a background or interest in Social Justice or Anti-racist work and Community Organising.

If you have any of these skills or experience and would like to help our radical grassroots language project grow and thrive, please get in touch!

Read the role description for more information.

Deadline for expressions of interest: 21st May. For any questions please email

We are looking for a brilliant Arabic teacher…

Babel’s Blessing is a grassroots language school and registered Community Interest Company. We run low-cost evening classes in diaspora languages, and use the income from these to fund free English classes for refugees and migrants. You can read more about us here. We are recruiting a committed and creative Arabic Teacher to join our team to teach up to four 2-hour online Arabic classes a week for 12 weeks from mid-April, with the possibility of continuing in September.

Our teachers are also our social media contributors, administrators, fundraisers, event hosts and blog writers, and you will be supported to take an active role in shaping the direction of our organisation.

Please read the job description for more information about the role and to find out how to apply.
