Our teacher says:
I am Bedriye and I am a native speaker of Turkish and a qualified teacher. I have been teaching for over 10 years.
I have varied experience. I have taught Turkish as a second language as well as Turkish for native speakers, including children who can’t speak Turkish but are from Turkish families, Turkish speaking women who can’t read and write in Turkish and GCSE Turkish exam students.
We work on Turkish grammar, speaking and listening, reading and writing. In our lessons, we use short stories, traditional Turkish songs and some Turkish course books. We are going to talk about history, culture, politics and of course amazing foods.
Turkish is part of the Turkic language family, which is a collection of closely related languages that are spoken from Eastern Europe to Western China.
Turkish language speaking people live in the Balkans, the Caucasus, and in Western Europe.
