Spanish is amazing. . . It is defined as a transparent language, where you must pronounce almost every letter that you see. It could be even be called democratic: each syllable need to be pronounced for the same amount of time. It’s a new melody, a new bit for English speakers.
Do you love hot chocolate (4 short syllables)?
Are you ready to have a CHO-CO-LA-TE CA-LIEN-TE (7 long long syllables)?
Do you know that chocolate is a word from Nahuatl, Aztecs native language? A few centuries ago, during the Aztec empire, chocolate grains were the official currency. Hot chocolate was prepared for special occasions. Or you could drink all your money in Tenochtitlan bars (today’s Mexico City).
