You know what a “Chisme” is? Did you know that in order to tell a “chisme” you’d have to know —at least— two kinds of Spanish past tenses? Chismes are really fun to tell and hear, but also are very important in Latinoamerica to get to know its culture. In English we’d translate it like “gossip”, but a chisme is more than that…
Now let me ask you another question: do you know how to tell jokes in spanish? I mean what’s the name for it?... Chiste! That’s right, a very similar word to “Chisme”, but with two whole different meanings. One simple letter can change everything.
In this Elementary course you’ll learn specific differences in past tenses with irregular verbs, regular and verbos afectivos such as chismear; between pronominal and reflexives ones, such as me siento bien chido and me levanto bien temprano; also you’ll get to know how to say “I told you so” in español combining both pronombres de objeto directo and indirecto: ¡Te lo dije! And finally, there 's no chisme o chiste without words like “y”, “pero”, “además”...
Let 's go beyond “Hola, ¿cómo estás?” to “¡Qué onda! ¿Ya escuchaste lo nuevo de Bad Bunny?”
