Sholem aleykhem! This class will introduce you to the Yiddish language, from basic skills in reading and writing to listening and speaking. Beginning with Y. L. Perets, we shall wade into the river of Ashkenazi culture, listening to folksongs, reading poems, sharing jokes and looking at traditional, seasonal recipes. All materials will be provided.
