Yiddish
Intermediate
Course description
Intermediate with Osian (Online)
Sundays 4:00 - 5:30pm (UK time)
As a student in this intermediate class, you will get to cover a wide range of materials in Yiddish: short stories from the klasikers, recipes for the yontoyvim, life writing from Bella Rosenfeld Chagall and plenty of songs too. Students are encouraged to bring in texts and topics they want to discuss. Each class will include a grammatical topic (spare us your Yiddish curses!) and the curriculum will be arranged loosely around the Jewish calendar. All materials will be provided. Students should be able to read and hold basic conversations in Yiddish. M'zet zikh bald!
If you have any questions about the course or which level is right for you, please email us at babelsblessing@gmail.com.
